About the event

The heart of every successful advocacy campaign and social movement is the act of persuasion — the ability to influence another person or group of people to change their beliefs or behaviors. By leveraging emotion, values, social identities and other elements of what the social sciences know about persuasion, we can move people to consider new ideas about an issue, change their minds and take action.

In this introductory conversation with RALLY Communications, you’ll see how the seven core principles of persuasion expand on what is already understood about effective communications and can help you more effectively make the case for your work. You’ll leave with practical tips for applying these persuasion principles to your foundation’s communications.
