Please join us for an Alaska Funders Group discussion about “Why should grantmakers who are not environmental funders care about climate change?"

We are honored to welcome special guest Hon. Fran Ulmer, Chair, US Arctic Research Commission to lead us in this conversation. The US Arctic Research Commission (USARC) is an independent agency that advises the President and Congress on domestic and international Arctic research through recommendations and reports. It is chaired by Hon. Fran Ulmer, where she has served since being appointed by President Obama in March 2011.

The goal of the Alaska Funders Group is to share information about critical issues and opportunities and to build relationships that inspire collaboration and change in Alaska. Participation is open to organized philanthropy and individuals who are currently making grants in Alaska. This includes corporate investors, private foundations, community foundations, nonprofit grantmaking organizations, government grantmakers and consultants currently working on their behalf. You do not need to be a Philanthropy Northwest member to participate. If you are unsure about your eligibility, please contact Lyn Hunter.
