Collective Impact Workshop for Alaska Funders

Thu, September 25, 2014,
12:00pm to 2:00pm AKDT
The Philanthropy Hub at the Alaska Community Foundation
3201 C Street, Suite 110, Anchorage, AK 99503

Have you heard about Collective Impact? Funders can play a unique role in this approach that uses long-term and cross-sector collaboration to mitigate complex issues such as health, education, homelessness, community safety and poverty.

Our workshop leader will be Liz Weaver, Vice President of Tamarack Institute for Community Engagement and the head of the Vibrant Communities Canada team, which focuses on reducing poverty for over one million Canadians. Ms. Weaver has developed and led numerous workshops on Collective Impact, all focused on achieving meaningful community change. Ms. Weaver will lead a spirited discussion on the roles that funders can play. She'll also address questions such as "Is every project/issue suitable for Collective Impact?" and "How do we measure success of these long-term initiatives?"

Bring your lunch and join us for a robust dialogue. Seats are limited to the first 40 participants and will be geared for a funder audience.

Thank you to the Rasmuson Foundation for sharing this opportunty.
