Join us for the third and final virtual exchange built for Community Foundation staff, trustees and board members. This call will be led by Maddy Metzger-Utt, Philanthropy Northwest Community Foundation Advisor and former CEO of Community Foundation of Snohomish County. In this series, we'll tackle the most pressing issues as identified by you, our Community Foundation network.

Our December 4 call will focus on bringing community voice into our grantmaking practices. We know that more and more community foundations are bringing in community members for grant review. This all sounds good in practice, but what does it mean at a practical level? What are some of the tensions that arise when we incorporate folks that are neither staff nor board members at our foundations? We'll hear about examples such as youth philanthropy boards as well as the importance of paying stipends for community members' time.

These virtual exchanges will be on video, to encourage relationship building despite our distance from one another. At Philanthropy Northwest, we want to engage our network across vast distances, without expending massive resources to do so!
