About this event

Shortfalls in government spending have become apparent during the COVID-19 pandemic, and philanthropy has an important role in addressing the aftermath. At this quarter's briefing, we will be focusing on the recently released report from the Center for Effective Philanthropy - Foundations Respond to Crisis: Toward Greater Flexibility and Responsiveness? The report author will join us to outline the issues and facilitate a discussion to identify new and innovative ways that corporate philanthropy can strategically and effectively meet this moment. This is sure to be an informative and engaging discussion. We will look forward to seeing you there.

Speaker

Naomi leads research initiatives at CEP. She speaks about CEP’s research at regional and national conferences, facilitates workshops about effective funder practices, and has co-authored reports such as Foundations Respond to Crisis, Policy Influence: What Foundations are Doing and Why, and The Future of Foundation Philanthropy: The CEO Perspective. Prior to this role, Naomi was a director on CEP’s Assessment and Advisory Services team, in which she led relationships with funders using CEP’s assessments and customized advisory services, and supported foundation staff and leadership on topics related to philanthropic effectiveness.
