Foundations on the Hill 2015

When:
Wed, March 18, 2015 (All day) to Thu, March 19, 2015 (All day)
Where:
Washington, D.C.

The website for Foundations on the Hill 2015 is up and registration is now open!

D.C. often seems far away – and it is – but what happens there has profound impacts here.

Showing up matters.

Each year, Philanthropy Northwest members and staff travel to Washington, D.C. for Foundations on the Hill to build relationships with federal elected officials, educate them about philanthropy’s role in society, and connect with other funders interested in public policy. Please join us this year on March 18 and 19.

“Foundations on the Hill allows me to share the impact of philanthropy in Montana and learn about national policy issues that affect both the issues I’m working on and the charitable sector itself.”
Mary Rutherford, Montana Community Foundation

WHY IT’S IMPORTANT
  • Develop and strengthen your relationships with your members of Congress
  • Share your views on the latest charitable legislation
  • Tell stories about the good work your foundation is doing in the Northwest
  • Connect with other funders interested in public policy

WHO’S COMING
All Philanthropy Northwest and Council on Foundations members are invited to attend. Past attendees have included the Alaska Community Foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Idaho Community Foundation, M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust, Montana Community Foundation, Northwest Area Foundation, Rasmuson Foundation, Dennis & Phyllis Washington Foundation, and more.

Philanthropy Northwest is the delegation captain for the Northwest. We set up meetings with Members of Congress, provide you with information about the trip, and coordinate meeting agendas and talking points.
