November Montana, Idaho, Wyoming Funders Group Call

Wed, November 18, 2015,
10:30am to 12:00pm MST

Please note this event takes place at 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. MT.

More than 200 community development, health, and human service professionals gathered in Helena, Montana in October to explore ways that social, clinical and economic factors all play a role in the health of the individual and society. How can these areas better blend these areas together to build healthier communities? What is philanthropy's role? Please join us for a discussion kicked off by Montana Healthcare Foundation and The O.P. and W.E. Edwards Foundation. We'll then transition to a general discussion of health and communities kicked off by the State of Wyoming Department of Family Services. Potential topics include: suicide prevention, rural communities and community scorecards.

This is our tentative agenda, and we welcome thoughts on additional topics that you want to speak about:

10:30 – 10:50 a.m. Participant Introduction - participant will share current priorities and highlight projects that you would like the group to know about

10:50 – 11:10 a.m.  Dr. Aaron Wernham and/or Ted Madden, Montana Health Foundation and Amy Hyfield, The O.P. & W.E. Edwards Foundation, Inc. recapping the convening of the Healthy Communities Conference held last month in Montana

11:10 - 11:30 a.m. General discussion kicked off by Tony Lewis, Deputy Director, State of Wyoming, Department of Family Services

11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  Wrap-up and group discussion

We hope you can join us. Please contact Lyn Hunter at or 206-443-8430 if you have suggestions or questions.
