Update as of August 16: Thanks for your interest. This Pierce County Funders Meeting has been canceled. Please stay tuned for a meeting in early December. See you then!

During this meeting you will have a chance to take a step back and participate in a structured conversation around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and what it means for your organization, as well as the larger Pierce County Funders group. We will get to share out and will be prompted by the below questions. Please come prepared to share and connect with your colleagues!

9:30a-9:45a: Intro/Catch up

9:45a-10:30a: What are your organization’s current priorities? What’s new/top of mind?

10:30a-11:30a: What work is your organization doing around DEI? What questions do you have? Challenges you are faced with in integrating these efforts across your org?

Eligibility: Participation in this meeting is open to philanthropic organizations that are currently making grants in Pierce County. This includes corporate giving offices, private and public foundations, community foundations, government grantmakers and CDFI institutions with a philanthropic focus. You do not need to be a Philanthropy Northwest member to participate but do need to represent an organizational philanthropic institution. It is not appropriate for non-profit organizations or individuals to attend. If you are unsure about your eligibility, please contact Lyn Hunter at lhunter@philanthropynw.org

Background: Philanthropy Northwest supports the Pierce County Funders Group, a network of our members and other grantmakers who fund in Pierce County. The group meets throughout the year to share information, learn from each other and get to know their peers in the Pierce County funding community. It is  currently co-chaired by Gina Anstey, The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation; Susan Dobkins, The Russell Family Foundation; Holly Hunt, The Bamford Foundation and staffed by Lyn Hunter and Danielle Crystal, Philanthropy Northwest.
