Philanthropy Northwest is thrilled to be continuing our Corporate Member Luncheons in 2019 and we hope that you will join us in person or virtually for a timely and important conversation around Census 2020.

A fair and accurate 2020 Census plays a critical role in ensuring equal representation in government and the equitable distribution of almost $800 billion in federal resources to states, localities and vulnerable families. As you may know, the 2020 Census is facing a number of significant challenges that heighten the importance of our collective efforts to ensure an accurate count of every person in our state.

Please join us and hear from Jeffrey Connor-Naylor who will share ReadyNation’s efforts to build a national business voice in support of an accurate 2020 Census that will both educate companies about the importance of the census and support their engagement on the issue

Overview of Census Campaign at ReadyNation

ReadyNation is building a national business voice in support of an accurate 2020 Census that will both educate companies about the importance of the census and support their engagement on the issue. ReadyNation has created two free, virtual, bipartisan networks to provide business people with strategic opportunities to lend their voice for adequate funding for the census, and later, if members wish, to help encourage customers, employees, and residents to complete their census questionnaires.

  • The National Business Leader Task Force for an Accurate Census is an invitation-only group of senior business leaders supporting a complete count in 2020. Current members include executives from RE/MAX, Univision, Crayola and Scholastic.
  • The National Business Network for an Accurate Census is a private listserv for all business people. There are no obligations, and members choose their level of participation.

ReadyNation (a project of Council for a Strong America) is a nonprofit, bipartisan business membership organization with roughly 2,200 members that supports business leaders to promote public policies and programs that build a stronger workforce and economy.

Whether you are at the beginning stages of engaging in this effort, or are deeply involved, we encourage you to join us for this important and vital discussion.

For those of you unable to attend in person, there will be an option to participate virtually. Please register and email Danielle Crystal for details.
