About this event

Philanthropy Northwest is excited to partner with the Trust-Based Philanthropy Project to offer the first-ever Trust-Based Philanthropy Cohort. This is the second session in a four-part curriculum.

What is trust-based philanthropy? The second session will take an in-depth look at the six principles of trust-based philanthropy: 1) give multi-year unrestricted funding, 2) do the homework, 3) simplify and streamline paperwork, 4) be transparent and responsive, 5) solicit and act on feedback and 6) offer support beyond the check. Activities will include case study discussions on adaptations and challenges of trust-based philanthropy and reflection time to allow participants to assess their foundation's implementation of the trust-based principles. Participants will leave the session with an organizational assessment tool to use with their teams to identify how to continue their journey towards trust-based philanthropy.

To learn more about the cohort refer to the Trust-Based Philanthropy Cohort page. Please reach out to Mares Asfaha if you have any questions.
