Many funders have been supporting efforts to solidify net neutrality protections and open Internet principles for over a decade. Last year, four million people commented on the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) proposed Internet rules, and the President called for true open Internet protections, including reclassification of the Internet under Title II jurisdiction. This February the FCC voted to reclassify the Internet and stop states from banning municipal broadband networks. The rate of change has been dizzying.

Please join Michael Copps, special advisor to Common Cause's Media and Democracy Reform Initiative and former FCC Commissioner, and June Wilson, executive director and board member at the Quixote Foundation for a dialogue with Vince Stehle, executive director of Media Impact Funders about this fast-changing landscape and the implications for grantmakers and grantees alike.
