Role Responsibilities: 

We are looking for a Development Manager to work 37.5 hours per week. The main office is located in Northgate Seattle with some remote work access as agreed upon. T​ravel within King and Snohomish counties required.

The role
We are looking for a Development Manager to implement the strategic fund-development plan that will provide for the ongoing viability of the Family Services program that is inclusive of four Community Resource Centers within Snohomish County. The Development Manager will work collaboratively, and in conjunction, with the Director of Family Services as all aspects of effective donor relations are launched, implemented, nurtured, and maintained. This position works collaboratively with a mission-driven team and plays a critical role as we execute ambitious growth to meet the needs of those most vulnerable in the communities we serve. 

Main duties include: 

  • Launch the strategic fund-development plan that will lead to meeting, and surpassing, required funding for the Family Services program; sustainability goal to be met through implementation of 3-year strategic plan

  • Fund-development aspects will include: 1) Establishing a Case Statement as the primary tool to communicate need and return-on-investment for potential partners.  2) Integrating an established Annual Fund-Development Plan. 3) Originating and maintaining a strategic Segmented Donor List. 4) Writing grant proposals. 5) Administering and participating in the Family Services Core Development Team

  • Establish strong presence with established partners/donors; conduct partner/donor solicitations

  • Identify and cultivate new sources of funding including public, private, corporate, congregational, and foundation sources

  • Write/submit grant proposals on a regular on-going basis

  • Promote and advocate through presentations to community, corporate, government, congregational, and civic groups

  • Assist to establish creative marketing tools for program promotions

  • Organize partner/donor focused events

  • Facilitate timely donor recognition

  • Manage all donor/data tracking through CRM tool, Salesforce:  includes data entry, activity tracking, etc.

  • Generate regular reporting of progress toward established goals

  • Oversee timely required reporting to funders per contracts/awards

Candidate Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required

  •  At least three years fund-development experience with a proven track record

  • Valid driver license, auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle

  • Experience with donor database management - Salesforce a plus

  • Proficiency in Google Docs and Sheets; Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher

  • Previous experience working with clients/partners from diverse backgrounds and perspectives

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable with public speaking, presentations, and networking
