Since 1909, Atlantic Street Center has been providing educational, family support, and behavioral health counseling services for children, youth, and their families. We primarily serve low- and very low-income African-American families and other families of color who reside in central and southeast Seattle, South King County, and North Pierce County. We are the oldest nonprofit organization in the area.

Role Responsibilities: 

From August 1, 2020 through October 16, 2020, the Contract Event Specialist & Development Assistant will support our annual virtual fundraising auction and gala in September 2020. This job may be worked remotely, with one in-person meeting per week, if save due to COVID-19. Event Responsibilities

· Attend our virtual Auction & Gala to support the registration and bidding on the evening of September 26, 2020.

· Post-event, support acknowledgement process; perform event analytics for reporting on fundraising success, donor turn-out, and ROI; and perform data migration between databases (Greater Giving and Abila).

· Serve as the lead facilitator for GreaterGiving event software – requires prior experience with GreaterGiving (preferred) or other event software such as, AuctionMaestro, OneCause, CharityEngine, etc.

· Serve as the primary contact and fundraising representative for event participants.

· Provide direct customer support to event participants for event fundraising, training, and technology.

· Respond to all customer service calls and web inquiries with a focus on improving the recruitment and fundraising results for our event.

Donor Data Entry and Reporting Responsibilities

· Process all contributions and pledges from the gala in Abila; prepare weekly reports on fundraising progress.

· Prepare acknowledgements and correspondence with donors (email and mail) in a timely manner.

  Identify and implement processes and improvements to ensure the integrity of data in Abila, including troubleshooting/identifying inconsistencies and making corrections

Candidate Qualifications: 

   Required – minimum 1 year of experience working with GreaterGiving software for event fundraising (preferred) or other event software such as, AuctionMaestro, OneCause, CharityEngine, etc.

· Required – minimum 1 year of experience working with Constituent Relationship Management Database/donor software such as eTapestry, Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, and/or Abila.

· Preferred – Minimum 1 year of experience working in nonprofit Resource Development department.

· Be able to interact effectively and enjoy working with diverse constituencies.

· Be committed to a high level of customer service for interaction with donors, board members, and volunteers.

. Position requires valid Washington State driver’s license and personal vehicle driving whenever necessary to meet program needs.

· Knowledge of MS Windows, Outlook, and MS Office.
