In high school, Jackson’s work as a mentor and his participation in other community-building programs helped him develop his interest in community growth. Since then, wherever he has gone he has invested his time developing communities around common interests. It was not until he moved to the Pacific Northwest that he really started enjoying the outdoors and immersing himself in the amazing natural beauty of this region. He often goes hiking and camping in the summer and skiing in the winter. At Philanthropy Northwest, he is able to take his individual efforts at community building to a new level in a region that has offered him so much.
Jackson’s aptitude for creative problem solving was part of what influenced his pursuit of a humanities degree. His natural passion for politics and philosophy grew at the University of Brighton, in the UK, where he earned his bachelor's degree. Since graduation, he has spent his time in the for-profit space setting up sales operations departments, creating training materials and enhancing processes. He hopes to further his experience in the nonprofit space. Jackson’s areas of focus include anything related to data, customer relationship management (CRM) systems and the website. He is always looking for his next problem to solve, so do not hesitate to reach out and talk to him.
