Join us for this Regional Community Philanthropy Group call for public foundation staff interested in deepening their understanding of how to use advocacy levers to advance their work.

While many understand the why of engaging in policy advocacy, this webinar will bring in resources and case studies to dig into the what and how specifically in a public foundation context. We will discuss:  

  • What it looks like for staff across the organization to support an advocacy agenda - because advocacy is a cross-team effort.
  • How organizations of any size can deepen their advocacy work.
  • How to use your grants to support grantees in the whole spectrum of advocacy work, including civic engagement, capacity building and lobbying. 
  • Myth-busting around what advocacy work is possible for public foundations - we can do more than we think! 

Whether you’re new to this or already steeped in advocacy work, this call aims to give participants additional tools to level up their advocacy efforts.

Executive in Residence, Public Policy and Advocacy, Philanthropy Northwest

Remy supports Philanthropy Northwest's advocacy work and helps guide the Democracy Northwest effort to utilize philanthropy's voice in rebuilding our democracy. He also works with members to build their knowledge of advocacy. Remy brings a broad range of strategic insight from his experience working with organizations and coalitions developing and implementing legislative advocacy, communication and ballot campaigns, in addition to his nonprofit leadership experience.

Eligibility
