Pat is a curious and critical thinker and applies these traits to work that ranges in subject matter, from health/mental health, early learning/education, civic engagement, family support, community/economic development, arts/culture and international development. She cares deeply about racial equity, social justice and movement building and is drawn to work that aligns with these values. Having worked across a diversity of sectors (i.e. non-profit, philanthropic, public and private), she comes to The Giving Practice with over 25 years of experience.
Additionally, she is a proud first-generation immigrant and war refugee who is acutely familiar with statelessness and displacement. Since first arriving in the U.S. territories and mainland and territories, Pat has lived in different cities across the country, as well as in Europe; currently, she resides in the Seattle area with her husband and daughters, in a home that is somehow more often than not always loud and raucous (tactfully described as “spirited”)!
She holds a master’s degree in public policy and a master’s degree in public health, both from the University of California at Berkeley. From Occidental College, she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a gender studies minor.
Reach out to us to work with Pat for thought partnership in evaluation/learning, strategic planning, policy analysis and research, all with strong components of community engagement.
