Overview
This group is for individuals working in philanthropy who identify as Black, Indigenous and/or people of color (BIPOC). Through informal virtual and in-person gatherings, we provide intentional, BIPOC-specific and tailored programming to build a stronger and more equitable philanthropic sector in the Northwest. Our vision of philanthropy is one where BIPOC folks are nourished and sustained in their leadership and are held in an accountable community of solidarity and care that challenges isolationism and burnout.
Eligibility: Participation in this group is open to individuals in philanthropic organizations who identify as Black, Indigenous and/or a person of color. You do not need to be a Philanthropy Northwest member to participate.
By joining this peer network, you'll get access to:
- Quarterly virtual and in-person events to connect and collaborate
- The BIPOC Folks in Philanthropy Group listserv, where you can post questions and tap into the collective knowledge of the network (see our listserv policy here)
Reach out to us at programs@philanthropynw.org for more information about joining the group.
