Position Information
Organizational Overview
The Biller Family Foundation has two primary areas of focus: to lift up the transformative power of live theatre and to ensure that people facing cancer, and their loved ones, receive the supportive care they deserve. We work to advance equitable change through grantmaking, public education and advocacy, research and data initiatives, and cross-sector convening. We are a small, collaborative team where every member plays a visible and active role in advancing the Foundation’s mission.

- Help prepare talking points, presentations, and briefing materials for Foundation leadership and board members

- Coordinate communications logistics for partner meetings, grantee gatherings, and events
- Help maintain brand and message consistency across materials and support grantees with co-branding and announcement coordination

Qualifications
- 2–4 years of professional experience (internships and fellowships count)
- A strong, versatile communicator eager to learn
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines without close supervision
- Proficient with common communications tools (e.g., email marketing platforms, social media scheduling tools, basic CMS editing); familiarity with design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- A willingness to pick up pieces of projects when needed, as well as take ownership of projects and see them through to completion
- Curious about philanthropy and genuinely interested in access to the arts, the intersection of the arts and health, and cancer care. Direct experience in the nonprofit sector and philanthropy is welcome but not required.
