PNW26 Travel and Lodging


This page covers everything you need to know about the venue, hotel, transportation and parking.   

PNW26 will be at the Dena'ina Center. Based on input from our network, we prioritized a venue that has a strong connection to the host city, natural light and views of nature.  

Dena’ina means “First People” and refers to the original Athabascan inhabitants of the Anchorage and Cook Inlet region, who were the first Alaskans 10,000 years ago. Dena’ina culture is honored and reflected throughout the space through Indigenous artwork, room names and natural decor. Panoramic windows bring the outdoors in and offer unique views of the Alaska Range, Denali, Cook Inlet and the Chugach Mountains.

Lodging

There are a handful of spots left in our primary PNW26 hotel room block at the Marriott Anchorage Downtown. Please call the Marriott at 907-279-8000 to ask about availability for the special PNW26 room rate. This hotel is a convenient walk to the Dena’ina Center. 

Alternatively, we encourage you to book with the PNW26 courtesy block at the Wildbirch Hotel for a special rate of $169/night, or one of the many other local hotels on Visit Anchorage’s website. 

Travel

Ground Transportation 

To and From the Dena’ina Center 
The Dena’ina Center is centrally located in downtown Anchorage, close to many hotels. We encourage you to walk to the venue each day or use a ride share app.

Anchorage also has the People Mover bus transportation system, which is ADA accessible. 
 
To and From the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport
We recommend using a ride share service. Anchorage has readily available Uber and Lyft, as well as Taxi services from the airport.
 

Parking 

For those staying at the Marriott Anchorage Downtown, valet parking is $15 a day and $30 a night.

Parking at the Dena’ina Center is limited. While there is no on‑site parking, several garages within two blocks are available, typically costing $16–$25 per day.
 

Air Travel 

The closest airport to the venue and hotel is the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.
