As a philanthropic network, we bring together the relationships, trust and regional knowledge that position us to do what individual funders cannot. We convene across sectors, align public and private resources and steward funding at scale in ways that honor community priorities and strengthen local leadership.

Intermediary Grantmaking
As an intermediary grantmaker, we connect national and regional funders with community-based organizations, ensuring resources reach those best positioned to create change. Currently, we are partnering with the EPA to distribute $48 million in funding to communities and federally recognized tribes across Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington through our Thriving Communities Grantmaking Program.
Fiscal Sponsorships
Since 2008, we have provided fiscal sponsorship for mission-aligned projects. With our stewardship and expertise in supporting complex philanthropic collaborations, we offer trusted infrastructure, financial management and partnership to advance equity and community-driven change.

Collaborative Philanthropy
Philanthropy is strongest when we act together. Through efforts like the Washington Census Equity Fund and the Washington Food Fund, we’ve united funders, government agencies and communities to pool resources and scale solutions no single organization could achieve alone - distributing funding to more than 450 community-based organizations across the region.
