Our advocacy begins with a simple idea: when philanthropy and government collaborate, communities are better served. That belief drives our policy and advocacy work, which focuses on making public institutions more responsive, transparent and representative of the people they serve. Working in partnership, we can expand the flow of public and philanthropic resources, remove barriers and ensure that historically underinvested communities have the power and support to thrive.
Through thought partnership, sector organizing and advocacy, we help the philanthropic sector find its collective voice on critical issues and align efforts for greater impact. Our unique role as a trusted convener across six states allows us to connect decision-makers, surface community priorities and influence policies that strengthen sustainable and vibrant communities across the Northwest.

Foundations on the Hill (FOTH) is our opportunity to bring Northwest voices directly to Congress. Each year, funders meet face-to-face with lawmakers to advance equity and impact at the federal level.
