Uniting for Change in 2021.
In 2021, our region faced many challenges, pushing philanthropy to respond nimbly, think big and take action in partnership with community. As a network, we came together to reimagine a bolder vision of philanthropy, breaking down historical barriers in grantmaking processes to fund those directly impacted by racial injustice and the COVID-19 pandemic's economic and social aftershocks.
Our annual report below shows key highlights of the work Philanthropy Northwest and our funders did throughout 2021, a snapshot of our membership and our 2021 financial statement.
Strengthening Philanthropy
We created innovative resources and provided consulting services to help our network adapt and grow to meet today's challenges.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Grounded in our values of racial equity, inclusion, learning and accountability, we continued to work towards building a resilient, equitable and inclusive future for the communities our network serves.
Public Policy and Advocacy
We used our network's voice to influence policy and strengthen democracy, sharing the lessons we learned along the way.
Convening Our Network
Through peer networks, affinity groups, collaboratives and convenings, we connected funders around shared interests, offered trainings on emerging practices and hosted discussions on sector issues.
Our members came from all types of philanthropic organizations across Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming plus Hawai'i. See a snapshot of our 2021 membership below. You can also:
