We’re calling the philanthropic sector in.
We believe transformation requires calling people in, not calling them out.
To that end, we work with members and other partners to celebrate diverse identities, make inclusivity an everyday practice and advance equitable opportunity within communities across the Northwest.
Together with The Giving Practice, our national consulting partner, we offer a range of diversity, equity and inclusion programs, from one-day trainings and personalized consulting services to multi-year fellowships.
DEI Cohorts
The Giving Practice facilitates cohorts of peer foundation CEOs and trustees to learn together. Through the cohorts, philanthropic leaders explore what diversity, equity and inclusion means to them and discuss ways to embed DEI into their organizations.
Grantmaking with an Equity Lens
Led by seasoned facilitators, this training helps you incorporate equity strategies into your grantmaking. Explore the core principles of racial justice, hear from foundation peers who have implemented specific approaches and dig deeper into practical applications for your organization.
BIPOC Folks in Philanthropy
Philanthropy Northwest has an organizational commitment to racial equity. We believe living into this commitment requires supporting Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) professionals who work in the philanthropic sector.
We offer intentional, BIPOC-specific, and tailored programming to build a stronger and more equitable philanthropic sector in the Pacific Northwest.
