About this event
Philanthropy Northwest invites you to join our delegation at Foundations on the Hill (FOTH), an annual convening that brings together foundation leaders from across the country to speak with elected officials.
This year’s annual convening comes at an imperative time as we confront many important public policy issues that will have an impact on our sector. We are seeking experienced advocates to participate, and together with our delegation, we will:
-
Educate Congress about philanthropy and build visibility for our organizations and network;
-
Advocate on key issues to promote strong and thriving communities;
-
Position advocates as a resource to lawmakers on policy issues; and
-
Deepen relationships with peers across the sector.
United Philanthropy Forum and the Council on Foundations in partnership with Independent Sector host programming for all attendees, and in small groups, the Philanthropy Northwest delegation meets with members of Congress and legislative staff.
Register for FOTH
FOTH will be in Washington, D.C., from February 23-26, 2025. Register here on United Philanthropy Forum’s website, which also provides information about the agenda and venue, and Philanthropy Northwest will follow up with more details! If you have any questions, please contact our policy team at policy@philanthropynw.org.
Who Should Attend
FOTH is intended for anyone serving as a staff or board member for any type of foundation or other philanthropic organization, including but not limited to community foundations, family foundations, private independent foundations and corporate foundations and giving programs. Prospective attendees will ideally have experience with legislative advocacy and comfort with communicating with policymakers. Philanthropy Northwest staff provide training and support to our delegates before and throughout the event.
