About this event

What tools and skills help you navigate challenging situations at work? Are you interested in refreshing how you approach professional dilemmas that matter to you? Join Jan Jaffe, the author of Philanthropy's Reflective Practices, to explore methods that strengthen meaningful communication with grantees, partners, colleagues and trustees in philanthropy to advance a goal or solving a problem.

You will have a chance to “test drive” a few reflective practices on a project or initiative that is important to your work.  We will talk about the range of roles you need to be effective in different situations. You’ll have an opportunity to identify why some roles are more challenging for you than others and what you might do about that. We will explore some tools that can invite meaningful conversations when a project is stuck or experiencing problems.

This is a highly interactive session. Bring your experiences, your successes, your struggles and your sense of humor!

This workshop is only available in-person, and is free to Philanthropy Northwest members as a membership benefit.
