About this event

Philanthropy 101 is a four-part virtual series that helps all staff new to philanthropy better understand the sector. In this interactive course, you will discover the history of philanthropy, review a foundation's leadership and governance, learn an overview of grantmaking, debate the current big issues in philanthropy and explore the various roles within philanthropy. You'll also connect with a cohort of other philanthropy professionals from across the Northwest. Philanthropy 101 takes place over four interactive online sessions designed for accessibility across our six-state region!

Session 4: The Great Debates in Philanthropy and Your New Community

Session four will be an opportunity to hear robust discussions around the philanthropic topics of the century. This will help ground you in philanthropy infrastructure, the role you play within your new organization and within your professional and personal networks.
