About this event

Tacoma/Pierce County is one of 10 communities across the U.S. participating in the multi-year Supporting Partnerships for Anti-Racist Communities (SPARC) initiative. SPARC activities include public discussions and forums, trainings for providers and community stakeholders, qualitative and quantitative research, and collaborations with leadership in housing, health care, education, criminal justice, and other systems. The first year focused on data collection and research for the community-specific and initiative-wide reports. Work going forward will include on-going support of local initiatives to address the impacts of structural racism through projects and further data analysis. Join us to learn more about SPARC in Tacoma/Pierce County from guest speakers Pamela Duncan from the City of Tacoma and Tess Colby from Pierce County.
