Breakout Session: Community Building from the CORE - People, Process, Partnerships and Potential in Rural and Tribal Montana

Breakout Session: Community Building from the CORE - People, Process, Partnerships and Potential in Rural and Tribal Montana

Montana is investing in underserved rural communities and removing barriers to federal resources through a national USDA Rural Development initiative called Creating Opportunities through Rural Engagement (CORE). Led by the state Rural Development team, Montana's effort currently works with 10 tribal and tribally adjacent communities. Montana CORE emphasizes place-based community development, strategic and comprehensive planning, and implementation through diverse local expertise and partnerships with federal, state, local and philanthropic partners. Learn how the initiative is helping rural and tribal communities solidify a local vision, leverage funding, and implement economic and community development projects across the state.
