Breakout Session: DAF Punk - How Donor-in-Movement Funds are Smashing Barriers to Bold Grantmaking

This session will explore the systemic issues that Donor-in-Movement (DMF) Funds address, such as combating the tendency of traditional donor-advised funds (DAFs) to enable systemic wealth hoarding. Participants will receive a comprehensive overview of how institutional funders can develop similar models, covering every step from process design and board decision-making, to the legal frameworks ensuring these giving vehicles genuinely support nonprofits and the communities they serve. Attendees will gain access to toolkits to guide them in replicating these funding models in their own contexts, as well as view a demo of Seeding Justice's new DMF web portal to begin scaling this innovative model.

Join this session if you are interested in Moving Resources and Community Foundations.
