About this event
Small foundations and family funds are increasingly providing essential funds to small organizations based in developing countries. These funders tend to be nimble, tolerate risk and understand the need for seed funding and general operating grants. However, it can be challenging to evaluate these investments and the process could be more costly than the grant itself.
Please join in a roundtable discussion with other funders to examine the best strategies to right-size evaluation for international grant making from small foundations. The conversation will be facilitated by Kristen Holway from The Giving Practice at Philanthropy Northwest. This event is for funders only.
Discussion leads:
- Kim Rakow Bernier, Program Director, Pangea Giving
- Sydney Munger, Board Member, Pangea Giving
- Rita Azizi Egrari, Ph.D, M.P.H., Director, Northwest Office, Mona Foundation
- Moderated by Kristen Holway, Partner, The Giving Practice
Hosted by Philanthropy Northwest and Global Washington, in collaboration with the Global Donors Exchange (GDX)
