About this event

Philanthropy Northwest members get access to all National Center for Family Philanthropy (NCFP) programs through our reciprocal membership. If you aren't sure whether you have an active membership to NCFP, contact Elyse Gordon to confirm.

Multigenerational families use different methods and techniques to teach the next generation about philanthropy. Successful future engagement depends on many considerations, including when and how to best inspire and empower next-gen family members. Please join us for a discussion that will explore a number of important considerations, including when, and how to introduce the concept of giving to your family, and how to promote formal engagement in the family philanthropy. The conversation will cover a range of themes from family values, volunteerism, board service and leadership transitions.

Speakers

  • Sammie Holzwarth, product manager for grants and scholarships, Foundant Technologies
  • Kimberly Myers Hewlett, president, Myers Family Foundation; director, Flora Family Foundation
