About this event
Announced on November 20, 2014, President Obama's Immigration Accountability Executive Action will provide nearly 5 million unauthorized immigrants an opportunity to apply for temporary work authorization and protection from deportation. This webinar will focus on key provisions of the new policies, eligible immigrants, and issues that funders should consider. It is a part of an ongoing series, Administrative Relief and Philanthropy produced by Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees (GCIR).

Co-sponsors include Funders' Committee for Civic Participation, Grantmakers for Children Youth & Families, Neighborhood Funders Group, Philanthropy New York, and The Fund for New Citizens, with others to come. Subsequent programs will cover demographic profiles and geographic locations of potentially eligible immigrants; implementation strategies and lessons from past efforts; recommendations for funders; and opportunities for grantmaker collaboration.
