Founded in 1985, Saint John’s Program for Real Change is the largest residential nonprofit in the Sacramento region dedicated to supporting women and children experiencing homelessness. Their comprehensive program includes housing, workforce education, financial literacy, behavioral health services, and substance use disorder counseling, among other critical services. Additionally, the organization oversees one of six Female Community Reentry Program facilities for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, providing rehabilitative services that assist with recovery, employment, education, and family reunification.

The mission of Saint John’s is to provide a safe space for women and children to heal and develop the skills necessary to transform their lives, with a vision to end the generational cycle of trauma and homelessness.
