Position Information
VertueLab is seeking a dynamic and experienced Donor and Investor Engagement Manager to cultivate, engage, solicit and steward our donor and investor partners. The ideal candidate will have a passion for climate solutions, strong relationship-building skills, and a proven track record in fundraising or investor relations. This role is pivotal in advancing our mission by ensuring our partners are informed, engaged, and invested in our work. Applications will be closed on July 29th, 2024.
Donor Cultivation, Engagement and Solicitation

Identify, cultivate, and solicit new donors and investors committed to supporting climate innovation and entrepreneurship

Develop and implement personalized engagement plans for high-potential prospects.

Organize and participate in events, meetings, and activities to cultivate, solicit, engage and recognize donors.

In partnership with the Brand and Marketing Manager, create and execute a robust calendar of donor and investor communications to cultivate, steward and renew donor support

Attend and represent VertueLab at events and conferences and meet in-person with individual donors and investors as needed.

Support the President and Executive Director in conducting the Annual Board Campaign
Stewardship:

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing donors and investors, ensuring they feel valued and informed.

Provide regular updates and reports on the impact of donor and investors contributions.

Develop and execute stewardship strategies, including thank-you letters, recognition opportunities, and donor appreciation events.
Fundraising Strategy:

Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and execute fundraising strategies and campaigns.

Set and achieve fundraising goals and objectives.

Monitor and report on progress towards fundraising targets.

Serve as the staff liaison to the board fundraising committee, setting agenda’s, scheduling meetings and facilitating board participation
Communication and Reporting:

Prepare compelling proposals, impact reports, and other communication materials.

Ensure consistent and effective communication with donors and investors.

Maintain accurate records of donor interactions. correspondence and contributions in the CRM system.
Team Collaboration:

Work closely with the marketing and program teams to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals and initiatives.

Support cross-functional collaboration to enhance donor and investor engagement.
Travel:
Regional and on occasion, national travel to donor meetings and events is required and represents roughly 30% of the job.
Ideal Candidate Profile
With a combination of professional and/or lived experiences, the successful candidate for the Donor and Investor Engagement Manager role will have:

Proven success in leading and developing major donor and/or investor fundraising initiatives with quantifiable results that meet or exceed goals and objectives.

5+ years fundraising experience; proven track record in major gifts fundraising

Demonstrated success advancing relationships (both internal and external) and growing revenue and support from individual philanthropists and/or investors.

Outstanding communication skills; ability to inspire funding partners through verbal and written communication; skilled at communicating complex ideas tailoring information to different audiences.

Ability to identify new opportunities and strategies.

Data management and CRM software experience (Salesforce preferred)

Tolerance for ambiguity and uncertainty

Adaptability required to thrive in a small team and in a dynamic environment

Exceptional time management and organizational skills

Ability to initiate and work independently on projects.
