Role Responsibilities:

What this job is about:
As the Serve Washington Executive Director, you'll serve as the primary advisor on national service investments and in promoting service and volunteerism. This includes developing effective strategies to build vibrant and caring communities throughout Washington state, while building on our OFM mission, vision and culture. This unique position must work effectively with the federal agency, members of Congress and their staff, local elected officials, subgrantees in the nonprofit and local government sectors, volunteers, and community members to build and sustain an effective volunteer ecosystem.

We are looking for someone with knowledge of the laws, regulations and provisions which govern the federal funding awarded to the state commission to ensure it and its subgrantees are fully compliant. In this role, you'll be responsible for making strategic recommendations to members of the Governor-appointed commission concerning the selection of subgrantees and geographic placement of national service investments and in meeting the intent established by Executive Order 16-08
