Job Summary:

The Housing Stability Program Coordinator supports both the Youth Diversion Infrastructure Project (YDIP) and the Rental Assistance Program to successfully prevent homelessness as well as support the path to housing stability.

The Youth Diversion Infrastructure Project (YDIP) is intended to increase communities’ ability to divert young people from homelessness by making flexible funding more available so that those who have exited a system of care can get what they need to find safe and stable housing. The project also creates greater collaboration across systems that are collectively interested in preventing homelessness, with targeted strategies that focus on BIPOC and queer, trans, and gender non-conforming young people.

The Rental Assistance Program provides rental help to thousands of eligible households to resolve outstanding rental debt and prevent households from being evicted. The overarching goal is to ensure that all people, regardless of who they are and where they live, can thrive, with full and equal access to opportunities and resources. The program pairs rental assistance and eviction prevention assistance to low-income households in King County who are at increased risk of homelessness and housing instability.

The primary responsibilities of the Housing Stability Program Coordinator position will be split equally between leading the processing of requests and dispersing of flex funds through YDIP and provide excellent support to maintain clean program data in the Homelessness Management Information System (HMIS) in relation to the Rental Assistance Program.
