Organizational Overview:

Malaria is one of the world’s most deadly diseases. It kills hundreds of thousands every year. Most of those children under five. Malaria Partners International believes that together, we can change that. We are a group of Rotary members committed to inspiring a broad international Rotarian campaign for global elimination of malaria. We believe that malaria can be combated through a comprehensive Rotarian campaign similar to Rotary’s successful Polio Plus campaign.

We will do that by working with Rotarian groups around the world. Advocating within Rotary in order to gain broad international support from districts and clubs, and for the support of the Rotary Foundation.

Our work is constantly evolving to meet emerging needs and opportunities. We focus our efforts on advocacy within endemic countries, within Rotary and within the global NGO network. We expand malaria education through presentations a Rotary club meetings, District Conferences, International Conventions and community presentations.

We value our strategic partnerships with National, Regional and Provincial Health officials, PATH/MACEPA, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Peace Corps, UNICEF, the Alliance for Malaria Prevention, Pilgrim Africa, the US President’s Malaria Initiative, and with Rotary organizations.

While MPI operates from the United States, we work with our three independent affiliate organizations–Malaria Partners Uganda, Malaria Partners Zambia, Malaria Partners West Africa, and Malaria Partners Zimbabwe– to work with host clubs in malaria-endemic countries to help implement projects once they are funded. Our four affiliates have done fantastic work in Africa, and there is much more to do.
