The Pacific Hospital Preservation & Development Authority announced more than $3.1 million in grants to 20 community agencies working to improve health care access and outcomes in King County, Washington.
"We are excited to support the six innovative community programs represented by our new 2016 Major Grants," said Jeff Natter, PHPDA executive director. "These new grants, coupled with renewal funds for our existing service partners, will significantly improve healthcare for a wide range of King County residents who otherwise would not have had access to these vital services."
Six agencies were awarded New Major grants, ranging from $70,000 to $180,000 for the contract year of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017:
- Chief Seattle Club
- Downtown Emergency Service Center
- Open Arms Perinatal Services
- Sea Mar Community Health Centers
- Seattle Children's Hospital Foundation
- YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish
The following agencies were awarded Major grants, ranging from $40,000 to $250,000 for the contract year of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017:
- Asian Counseling & Referral Service
- Chinese Information and Service Center
- Country Doctor Community Health Centers
- El Centro de la Raza
- Harborview Medical Center
- HealthPoint
- International Community Health Services
- Mercy Housing Northwest
- Navos Mental Health Solutions
- Neighborcare Health
- Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest & the Hawaiian Islands
- Project Access Northwest - Dental
- Project Access Northwest - Medical
- Seattle Indian Health Board
- Seattle-King County Dental Society
