About this event
The Environmental Grantmakers Association is delighted to invite you to join your colleagues in the Emerald City for the 2017 Fall Retreat, September 24-27, 2017 in downtown Seattle. At this year's Fall Retreat, we will share some of Seattle’s stories. We will explore the relationships linking urban and rural areas. We will consider the role of cities in nurturing connections, fostering equity and sustainability, and leading the way to the world we want. As this year marks EGA’s 30th anniversary, we will celebrate our progress, acknowledge our failures and fears, and lean into our hopes for the next 30 years.
Please take a moment to review the agenda on the EGA Retreat website. While there are many highlights to point out already, one of the most exciting pieces is our confirmed lineup of featured speakers including youth activist Aji Piper, climate scientist Dr. Katharine Hayhoe, pediatrician + nature champion Dr. Nooshin Razani, Seattle-based social justice/nonprofit blogger Vu Le, and former Greenpeace International Executive Director Kumi Naidoo.
