About this event

Nonprofits have been on the front lines of COVID-19, ensuring communities have services, resources and information to navigate these difficult times, while managing uncertainties facing their own organizations and sector. There are 1.3 million 501(c)(3) public charities employing more than 12.3 million people – the nation’s third-largest workforce – and many of these organizations are grappling with the dire economic and human impacts of the pandemic. Nonprofits are working across a variety of fronts in the COVID-19 response, from nimbly pivoting to address urgent needs in their communities, to leading advocacy efforts to protect the sector’s sustainability, to centering anti-racism in their strategies to support the communities hardest hit during the pandemic.

In this discussion, we will hear from six state nonprofit association leaders, who will share how nonprofits in our region have been navigating and responding to the challenges brought on by COVID-19, and offer insights into how funders can deepen partnerships to support these efforts.
