Join Philanthropy Northwest for this conversation where we will hear from co-founders of a multicultural, cross-sector collaborative of nonprofit leaders working to promote wellness and restore resources with Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) communities across Washington state called the BIPOC Executive Directors Coalition. During this session, the co-founders will discuss their efforts to generate shared abundance by bringing together over 200 BIPOC nonprofit leaders through healing and advocacy, and by calling in philanthropy to reimagine their roles and work with BIPOC-led nonprofits in more powerful ways.

We’ll have a panel discussion with the BIPOC ED Coalition co-founders and foundation leaders to explore:

• What the BIPOC ED Coalition pledge is and how funders can rethink the way we work with BIPOC nonprofits and communities — and be accountable.
• How foundations are responding to the pledge and what their journey has been to make necessary organizational changes.
• What anticipated barriers or questions folks have about the pledge and bringing this conversation back to their foundations. 

Eligibility 

Participation in this meeting is open to philanthropic organizations that currently make grants. This includes corporate giving offices, private and public foundations, community foundations, government grantmakers and CDFI institutions with a philanthropic focus. You do not need to be a Philanthropy Northwest member to participate, but do need to represent an organizational philanthropic institution.
