About this event
Join us for this Alaska Funders Group meeting where we will participate in the second of four Alaska Native Dialogues on Racial Equity (ANDORE) gatherings hosted by First Alaskans Institute. During this session, we will work to deepen our knowledge and understanding of advancing a racially equitable Alaska built on trust and meaningful relationships with Alaska Natives; Black, Indigenous and Peoples of Color (BIPOC) communities; and other identity intersections of our diverse community members who call Alaska home.
These discussions are incredibly important because of the leadership role philanthropy must play in creating a racially equitable Alaska, and we will continue to make space to understand and advance where you, your organization and our community are on these critical issues.
Agenda

Background
Philanthropy Northwest hosts the Alaska Funders Group, a network of our members and other grantmakers who fund in Alaska. The group meets regularly throughout the year to share information, learn from each other and get to know their peers in the Alaska funding community. Please contact group co-chairs Alexandra McKay, Rasmuson Foundation, and Elizabeth Ripley, Mat-Su Health Foundation, to propose future meeting agenda topics.
Eligibility
Participation in this meeting is open to philanthropic organizations that are currently making grants in Alaska. This includes private and family foundations, corporate foundations and giving programs, community and public foundations, tribal corporations and nations, governmental grantmaking programs and CDFI institutions with a philanthropic focus. You do not need to be a Philanthropy Northwest member to participate but do need to represent an organizational philanthropic institution. Please do not join this meeting if you are part of a nonprofit organization or are an individual not affiliated with a grantmaking organization. If you have questions or are unsure about your eligibility, please contact Danielle Crystal.
