As the chair of the nominating and governance committee, it is my pleasure to announce that we are opening the call for nominations for the Philanthropy Northwest Board of Directors. There are currently four open board seats.
As we open the board nomination process, we are thrilled to invite visionaries and changemakers interested in leading the field of philanthropy. This is an opportunity to shape the future as we embark on Philanthropy Northwest’s vision for equity and racial justice for all communities. Your voice as a Philanthropy Northwest member is critical in shaping the organization’s leadership.
Philanthropy Northwest strives to maintain diversity on its board to adequately represent the communities and regions in our network. This includes, but is not limited to, race and ethnicity, gender identity and sexual orientation, type of foundation, role within the organization, geography and urban/rural diversity.
Currently, our highest priorities are:
- Funders located in and/or serving Idaho, Montana and Wyoming
- Individuals who are rurally located and/or rural-serving
- People who identify as Black, Indigenous or People of Color
