Equity-focused, grantee-centered philanthropic practices are essential for impactful grantmaking. To improve nonprofit partnerships, we must enhance our methods of information exchange and address ableism, racism and other biases. In this session, we will explore the inflexible and extractive practices in philanthropy and the cultural "source codes" that influence the field. We will propose new equitable practices that facilitate trust and equity-aligned practices in grantee reporting. Together, we will reimagine the reporting process for philanthropy, share knowledge and move from intention to action.
