Our governance structures are, perhaps, the most latent, powerful force for transformational change in philanthropy. What could board governance and structures look like if we redesigned them to truly center communities, racial justice, and the values and missions of our organizations? This session is all about rethinking our current board governance structures, which uphold white supremacy culture and concentrate power among those who are often least connected to the community. In this interactive session, participants will think boldly and creatively about how they could begin to dramatically redesign the current rigid board structures to really center communities, justice, and the mission and vision of their organizations.
