Regional Community Philanthropy Group

Maximizing the impact of community philanthropy organizations.

Our peer networks are unique spaces for our members to connect with each other regularly, advance their learning, discover new opportunities and tackle tough challenges. They aim to strengthen the capacity of our network to redistribute resources and power to underinvested communities, and are vehicles for personal, interpersonal and organizational transformations in philanthropy.

Community philanthropy organizations are unique. With an intentional focus on “place,” they leverage community resources to support community needs. By building and nurturing relationships with both donors and direct-service providers, community philanthropy organizations have exponential potential for impact.

The Regional Community Philanthropy Group is a space for community philanthropy organizations to:
  • Foster connections and build relationships with other community philanthropy organizations
  • Share learning on relevant and emerging sector topics
  • Discover ways to bolster equitable and community-centered philanthropic practices
  • Learn about advocacy efforts that align with their organizations’ missions
  • Enhance skills and capabilities to shift practices and policies to eliminate racial disparities within institutions

This group meets regularly virtually and in-person. Check out our events calendar to see when they are meeting next.

"I feel like I have many peers to collaborate with and call. When we had a recent grant opportunity, we worked with the Community Foundation of South Puget Sound to bounce ideas and not re-invent the wheel on their grants process."
