About this event
Join us for this 90-minute special edition of the Alaska Funders Group. We look forward to continuing to explore issues of interest to Alaska Funders, noting opportunities for collaboration and partnership.
During this session, we will spend the first 30 minutes exploring the topic of Anti-Hate and Values-Aligned Philanthropy alongside scholars at the Horizon Forum, who have deep expertise in supporting philanthropies to ensure that their dollars are insulated from extremism, bigotry and hate activity. Through extensive research and facilitating cross-sector dialogues, Horizon Forum provides technical consulting and training on how to manage and mitigate risks related to hate, extremism and other forms of political polarization. We look forward to discussing this critical topic with Alaska Funders and sharing protocols and tips to mitigate risks at their organizations.
The remainder of our time together will be dedicated to continuing our exploration of key areas of interest for the group, including Alaska philanthropic infrastructures, participatory grantmaking and more.
