This interactive series will provide a historical overview of philanthropy, review a foundation's leadership and governance, provide an overview of grantmaking, debate the current big issues in philanthropy and explore the various roles within philanthropy. This comprehensive, two-day educational program was developed by experts in the philanthropic sector, and facilitated by seasoned practitioners. Grantmaking Institute: Skills for Emerging Grantmakers (formerly known as Philanthropy Institute): is the field’s standardized orientation for individual members who have recently joined the philanthropic sector in a grantmaking capacity. The curriculum is designed to provide grounding with an equitable lens, an overview of foundation governance and grantmaking, and interactive sessions to help you deepen your practice.
