About this event

In this fourth session of Advocacy in Action, we will highlight how philanthropy can strengthen democracy by sharing bright spots and lessons learned. Funders can improve democratic processes through a variety of forms, from public policy advocacy and research to civic engagement grantmaking. During our time together we will spotlight funding data and examples from Philanthropy Northwest's Democracy Lens, as well as insights from funders actively engaged in reinventing our democratic processes and institutions in ways that reflect their communities. Through this discussion, participants will learn more about the various direct and indirect ways their organization can improve civic life for the area they serve.

PRESENTERS

ABOUT THE SERIES

Philanthropy Northwest invites foundation staff, board members and trustees who want to build their knowledge and capacity to fund and implement policy advocacy to join us for our virtual workshop series. Each session features thought leaders and peer funders to engage and facilitate discussions on policy advocacy topics, and participants learn together in an interactive format. Session attendees may also sign up for ONE FREE HOUR of policy advocacy consulting from Philanthropy Northwest's Executive in Residence, Remy Trupin. You can also learn more about the whole series on our series registration page.
